Learn More About the Roofs We Work On
- BUR Roofing
- Single Ply Roofing
- TPO Roofing
- Spray Foam Roofing
BUR stands for built-up roofing or roof membranes. Essentially, these types of roofs use a tar and gravel application method. The roof is built up from alternating layers of bitumen and reinforced fabrics like roofing felts or ply sheets. Based on the materials used, BUR roofs are very resistant to wind, fire, and water damage. The average lifespan of these kinds of roofs is roughly 15-20 years.
Our team has years of experience with BUR roofing and can help you if your roof needs repairs, an inspection, or a full replacement. We can also make your existing roof more energy efficient and durable with a variety of roof coatings.
Single Ply Roofing
Single ply roofing is characterized by the use of plastic material sheets - either TPO, EPDM, or PVC - that are fitted to cover commercial flat or low sloped roofs. A layer of insulation is set first, followed by the single ply membrane, flashings, and adhesive to keep everything together. Single ply roofs boast many advantages, including fire resistance, impact resistance, and low maintenance. Ensuring that the membrane is not punctured and that the adhesive remains intact, your single ply roof should last upwards of thirty years.
Basin Roofing & Construction is proud to install, maintain, and repair single ply roofs throughout the state of Texas. Whether you need assistance in the DFW metroplex, the Permian Basin, or elsewhere, we would be happy to help you ensure that your roof stays strong for decades to come.
TPO Roofing Installation
Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing is a variety of single ply roofing. In this case, the single ply membrane is devised of polypropylene and ethylene-propylene rubber that have been polymerized. A TPO polymer base is laid first and is covered with a middle fabric section and topped with a TPO ply covering similar to other single ply systems. This roofing system should last at least 20 years.
If you need repairs to your existing TPO roof or are looking to replace or upgrade your roof, turn to Basin Roofing & Construction. We have years of experience repairing, maintaining, and installing TPO roofing throughout Texas. Our team is here to keep your roof strong and your building, staff, and customers safe and dry. Spray Foam Roofing Contractor
Basin Roofing & Construction uses spray polyurethane foam (SPF) for commercial clients throughout the state of Texas. SPF is considered to be a closed-cell material. During application, the two active liquid components come together in the mixing gun and expand to roughly 20-30 times their standard volume. This occurs immediately and forms a rigid polyurethane foam (PUF) that is sprayed across the roof.
This foam can be applied in different thicknesses and will eventually create a seamless monolithic surface. We can also use this product for flashing, penetrations, and parapet walls depending on your needs. This smooths over seams around these cold joints, which are prime areas that would otherwise be susceptible to major leaks. Don't hesitate to call us if you need a spray foam roofing contractor.
